 Since the emergence of multi-service networks, where not only is data the main traffic being carried across a network, but other services such as video and voice are becoming more largely deployed on these networks. IP Telephony in the last 5 years has really become a new standard for delivering telephony services that once only could be done via analog networks known as PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network).
